Summary of ICP Management

• Management of Airway, Breathing & Circulation
• Normovolemic resuscitation
• Prevention of Hypotension
• Normocapnea
• Normoglycemia
• Normothermia
• Proper positioning
• Hypertonic fluids (3% saline or mannitol), hyperventilation, hypothermia, barbiturate coma reserved for cases of severe increases in ICP
• CSF drainage via ventricular catheter
• Decompressive craniotomy
