Management of Seizures

• Ensure an adequate airway
• Administer 100% O₂ and support ventilation if needed
• Protect the child from injury
• Place the child on continuous ECG & SpO₂ monitors
• Obtain IV access
• Treat hypoglycemia
• Treat electrolyte abnormalities
• Consider anticonvulsant therapy
