Tension pneumothorax

Clinical features of tension pneumothorax include:

Respiratory distress or failure
Absent breath sounds on the affected side
Hyper-resonance to percussion
Trachea deviated to the opposite side
Shock: low BP, tachycardia, cool skin
Cardiopulmonary arrest or Pulseless Electrical Activity (PEA)
