Immediately treat tension pneumothorax based on physical exam findings, and do not delay for chest x-ray confirmation
•Decompress the pleural space with a 16-18 Ga catheter in 2nd intercostal space, mid-clavicular line
•Support ABCs, administer oxygen
•Insert chest tube as soon as practical
