Succinylcholine or rocuronium can be used to facilitate rapid sequence endotracheal intubation
Paralysis with vecuronium, rocuronium, or cisatracurium can be used to prevent coughing in intubated patients (coughing significantly increases ICP). Such paralytic drugs should be used ONLY in adequately sedated children
